  7. *  You MUST start over and configure from scratch.  Read BETA.DOC for
  8.    tips on getting started, and ZIPLAB.DOC for installation details.
  9.    
  10. *  The executables PTEST.EXE and SETUP.EXE no longer exist.  They have
  11.    been renamed to ZLAB.EXE and ZSET.EXE.
  12.  
  13. *  ZipLab Plus now requires that your configuration files (formerly 
  14.    PTEST.CFG) follow the ZLABxxx.CFG naming convention (where "xxx"
  15.    is a conference number, and the default for all conferences being
  16.    "000" if one specific to them is not found).
  17.    
  18. *  ZLABxxx.CFG is has many changes from the old PTEST.CFG format.  DO
  19.    NOT try to modify your old PTEST.CFG, just recreate it with ZSET.EXE.

  21. *  The command line for ZLAB.EXE in PCBTEST.BAT (or PROUTEST.BAT) is
  22.    different.  Please make note in ZIPLAB.DOC.

  24. Changes - in no particular order

  27. *  Less disk "thrashing" while testing
  28. *  All new ZSET.EXE setup program, written in VBDOS.
  29. *  Mail message now sent to the user on test failure.
  30. *  Mail message also sent to Sysop on virus detection.
  31. *  Handles the new PKZip/UnZip 1.93
  32. *  New "trashcan" to reject files with certain text in name or description.
  33. *  Local screen handling improved.
  34. *  Now fully conference specific if desired.
  35. *  Displays "bbs ads" removed to the user and sysop.
  36. *  Completely reworked CRC checking and bbs ad filename checking.
  37. *  Takes modem "offhook" if the user hangs up during testing.
  38. *  Custom .ZIP comments can now have imbedded special @ZCODES.
  39. *  ZCRC.EXE included to help find file CRC-32 for bbs ad checking.
  40. *  Files which fail testing get a .ZIP comment with the reason for failure.
  41. *  .ARJ processing improved.
  42. *  Error trapping and reporting vastly improved.
  43. *  Non archive files which are "passed" now have both virus and date checking.
  44. *  Description handling in ProDoor improved.  Requires ProDoor 3.44 or better.
  45. *  All self-extracting archive types processed, recognized by signature.
  46. *  All ZipLab executable and configuration files are sharable on a network.
  47. *  Wildcards no longer supported in this version.  Use the DOS command:
  48.    FOR %F IN (*.ZIP) DO ZLAB %F d:\path\pcbdir d:\path\cfgdir LOCAL
  49.    to test a whole directory of files.

  53. made.  More features are possilbe during the beta test cycle for 2.0,
  54. please check the BETA.HST each time you download a new beta version.
